Fishing
For the convenience of our guests there is a lake directly beside the cottages. The lake is well stocked for guests to practice their angling skills before embarking on one or more of the many local lakes and rivers in this beautiful county. There is a central bait store and ample lockable tackle storage with each property. A bait ordering service is available to ensure fresh bait on arrival.

Horse riding
For those of you who enjoy horse riding there are horse riding stables located less than a mile away from the cottages. The stables have always enjoyed good business from our cottages and in return our guests are treated with the utmost respect and dignity. The horses are well trained and are used by children and inexperienced riders aswell as those of you who are more experienced riders. Upon your arrival at the stables, please observe the rules and instructions given to you by the owners.
Cootehill
Cootehill is one of the largest towns in Cavan. Visitors can choose from one of the 15 pubs in the town, some of which are lively, have great craic and live music, while there are also quieter pubs for the more conventional visitors. The White Horse Hotel offers a restaurant, a comfortable lounge bar as well as a nightclub at weekends. There are several cafes and takeaways throughout the town. There are several mini-markets, two supermarkets, three boutiques, two clothes stores, one sports store and various newsagents and retail shops. There are also three banks, two of which have cash points for your convenience.
